Professor Ike Onyishi

Ike Onyishi holds a doctorate in organisational psychology and is a professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is currently the Head of Psychology Department, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He was also an Acting Director, Centre for Policy and Research at the same university. He is also an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow/Professor. He spent two years (2017 and 2018) at the Institute of Organizational and Business Psychology, University of Meunster, Germany as a Research Fellow/Professor. He has served as a visiting scholar in many universities across the world.   

He is very active in research and has collaborated with over 100 scholars in more than fifty countries in many successful research projects. He has published over 100 papers in the areas of organisational behaviour, career development, and other social issues. Some of his papers have appeared in reputable journals including the highly-ranked Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Communications, Psychological Science, and Journal of Management and Organizations. In addition to his research activities, he has consulted for many local and international businesses in the banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, and service sectors as well as for development agencies.  

Ike Onyishi is a fellow of the Nigerian Psychological Association (NPA). He is also a member of many other professional associations including Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, USA (SIOP), African Education Research Network (AERN), and African-German Network of Excellence in Science (AGNES).
