while coming from kano to lagos, my flight was scheduled for 1pm. By 1pm, we were still in kano airport and they told us the flight had been postponed till 5pm. Most of us in the airport that day were youth corp members who were trying to return home after a stressful camp. By 6pm, we approached the staff on duty and asked him why we had not boarded yet and you needed to see how rude he was to us, as if we didn't pay for our tickets!!! We were all so pissed as to why we were being delayed unnecessarily but he didnt even pay attention to us or try to pacify us and explain why we were being delayed. We later heard from one of the workers there that the plane that was supposed to convey us to Lagos was not on ground yet!!! the plane would have to arrive from Lagos that evening and still take us back to Lagos that same evening!! you can't imagine how pissed I was... apart from the fact that it is not even safe because this is an airplane we talking about, the engines are supposed to rest after a journey but no we had to wait for it to come, drop its passengers and take us to Lagos like its one danfo bus. My friends that used the bus from kano to Lagos were already comfortable on their beds at home and I was still in kano because i wanted to use arik air!!! long story short, the plane eventually arrived and we boarded by 8:23pm and got to Lagos around 10pm. The funny thing was everyone who had used arik before wasn't surprised because they said it was like their trademark. I think arik should improve and stick to scheduled time for flights and also teach their staff politeness to customers. 5 November, 2018
