I have been using using the United Bank of Africa since university days. It was the very first bank I opened an account with. While in school, I really enjoyed their services as I found their customer service very satisfying. However, in recent times I began to experience terrible network service and poor customer service. Just recently, I tried to make an urgent transaction using the USSD code as I had just exhausted my mobile data and couldn't access the bank app and It kept saying service unavailable for the longest time. Also recently, when you make a transfer, you won't receive an alert until days have passed. This has really affected how I use the bank. Finally, their customer care response is very slow and can take weeks before they fix an issue for you, simple updating my transfer limit from 200k to the highest limit for savings account which is 5 million took me two weeks but I did it for my first bank account within an hour. They are fast depreciating in value and will lose a lot of customer's in the coming years if they don't sit up now. 2 August, 2022
